About Living Christ

GENERATIONS LIVING CHRIST
flows to and from the Eucharistic to help all generations continue their faith formation within the Catholic tradition.
This year in
GENERATIONS LIVING CHRIST
we have a wealth of intergenerational learning opportunities and more.  Why is it important to continue to educate all households (families) in our Catholic faith? Research shows that families are more effective and stronger when they have the support and encouragement of those around them. The whole family needs to be actively participating in their faith throughout their lives, and then the children will come to understand their faith not as a childhood affair, but a life-long learning process. By virtue of our Baptism it is our responsibility that we continue to grow in faith and pass the faith from generation to generation. The Eucharist is the source and summit of our Catholic faith as
GENERATIONS LIVING CHRIST

is the anchor in our parish faith development. We at Sacred Heart have a rich tradition of PRAYER and worship. Let us celebrate this year’s theme, Responding to PRAYER, as we join together in community to learn to live in right relationship with God and one another.

Confirmation 2011

Sacred Heart Parish is a community of men, women, youth and children who believe in Jesus Christ. We strive to live the gospel values of love, justice and peace through prayer and worship, education as expressed in Catholic teachings, thereby serving the needs of each other and others, and proclaiming the Good News of Jesus by our lives. Through these ministries we make Jesus present in our world. In all
of these we seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

"I am among you as one who serves." Luke 22:27

The thrust of our parish education programs are intergenerational. It is essential that our families stay together and learn about the Catholic faith. We count on the family to keep the young people involved in the Church. The goal is discipleship, which equips people to participate meaningfully in the life of the Church, and empowers them to live their baptismal promise at home and in the world.
