Eucharist

Sacrament of Eucharist: The Eucharist is the heart and the summit of the life of the Church.

The term, Eucharist, means "thanksgiving."

The Mass is made up of two parts: the Liturgy of the Word and the Liturgy of the Eucharist.

Church of Sacred Heart celebrates Mass on Saturday evenings at 5:15 pm and on Sundays at 8:00 am and 10:00 am.

Weekday times are normally 8:30 am on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday as well as 7:00 am Thursday.  On Thursday, Mass is also celebrated at 9:15 am in the Garden Room at Lakeshore Inn Nursing Home in Waseca.

First Communion will typically be celebrated the second Sunday after Easter. Children are either enrolled in our Sacred Heart School or Wed. evening classes.  In addition parents and First Communicants are expected to participate in the First Communion Faith Sharing Centers.

Individuals entering the church thru RCIA will receive first Communion either at the Easter Vigil or as arranged by Father Leif.  Call the Parish Office (507) 835-1222 if you have questions.
