Happy Second Week of Advent
In this Sunday's Gospel, we heard about John going throughout Jordan proclaiming a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins (Luke 3:3). This proclamation was foretold by the prophet Isaiah in the Old Testament: "A voice of one crying out in the desert: 'Prepare the way of the Lord, make straight his paths." Luke 3:4
This week reflect on: How are you preparing the way for the Lord? What does this path look like for you and your family? Is the path rough, smooth, rocky, winding, etc.? Who is on this path? Does this path have people that you need to forgive?

Kayla's Last Week
The time has come. This is my last week. My last day at Sacred Heart is this Friday, Dec. 14. It has been a privilege to serve and journey along side you these past 2 1/2 years. Thank you for all your prayers and support. I will deeply miss this community and the very talented youth here. Please know of my prayers always for you, the youth, and this community. Thank you again and best wishes. Until we meet again in heaven, but always connected when we celebrate the Eucharist.
