All the News from Faith Formation
Dear Faith Formation Families,
We have come to the end of this year’s Faith Formation program. The students and I, along with our catechists, have grown in Jesus’ teachings about faith, hope and love, and the Kingdom of God. It brings me joy and satisfaction to watch your child and the other students in class grow stronger in their understanding of the gospel.
Soon, I will spend a prayerful time reflecting on this past year of being a catechist and coordinator. I would invite you, also, to spend some prayerful time reflecting on your own growth in faith the past year and how you’ve seen your child’s faith grow stronger. Do you feel that we worked together as partners in learning about faith, exploring what it means to live as Catholic Christians, and helping your child grow in love for God and others? Your experience of this past learning year is very important. Please feel free to share your thoughts with me.
On May 5 the second grade students, and a few other students, will celebrate their First Eucharist at Sacred Heart Church. The children are all wonderfully prayerful as they prepare to receive the Body and Blood of Christ. I am always very proud of their accomplishments. Congratulations!
I would like to extend an enormous “Thank you” to our catechists: Doreen White, Cindy Rieck, Matt Johansen, and Cathy Eldeen for a successful year. I appreciate their time and talents these past months. I am very blessed to have such caring, capable and creative people to guide our children. The catechists were a great support for me. Best wishes to you.
I am also extremely grateful to the people who have supported me in my fourth year of being the kindergarten-grade 4 administrator: Father Leif, Kayla Greiner, Edna Burns, LeAnn Dahle, and Val Spies. Thank you for your advice and guidance. It has been a very rewarding year for me.
Wednesday, April 24 is the Marathon for Non-Public Education. Please join us to walk or run around Loon Lake as a fundraiser and fellowship for Sacred Heart School and Faith Formation. We will begin in Nativity Hall at 6:00 P.M. for prayer and then hit the trail. It is a fun evening of fellowship.
Enjoy the Easter season together to celebrate Jesus’ triumph over the grave. Alleluia! He is risen!
Have a terrific summer. We hope to see you again in the fall for another great year of faith and fun.
Yours truly in Christ,
Mrs. Marijo Fischer
