Purpose: To oversee the financial stability, grounds maintenance, sale and upkeep of burial plots of Cemeteries entrusted to Sacred Heart and All Saints parishes. Our cemeteries must be well-groomed and clean of debris so visitors understand we have the utmost respect for those interred on these grounds.
The committee is made up of the Pastor, a secretary/treasurer, 2 trustees for each cemetery and at least 3 other parishioners.
Responsibilities: To provide physical help with the care of the cemeteries as determined by the cemetery trustees.
Time Commitment: Cleanup days scheduled in the spring and fall as well as set up/clean up for Memorial Day Mass at Cemetery.
Duration of Commitment: 3 years
Additional Time Requirements: Clean up maybe needed after summer storms.
CEMETERY REGULATIONS
The Sacred Heart and All Saints board wishes to remind all of the regulations:
- *All flowers or decorations must be in elevated stands
- All stands must be in line with the headstones.
- Memorial Day flowers and decorations must be removed by June 15th unless in elevated stands, Items left after June 15th will be removed and disposed.
- The following are NOT allowed: Dug in plants, glass, ground placed articles of any kind, shepherds hooks and wire.
